This is my finished music magazine cover, contents page and double page spread;

I decided to go for a colour scheme of black, white, grey and pink. I liked the close up shots better for the doubke page spread as it seemed more personal. But i like the one where I was looking over my shoulder for the front cover and it was more interesting and drew you in as you wanted to know what she was about.

Editing & step by step

It didnt take as long as i thought it would to actually edit the pictures. However it did take me a while to actually out the magazine cover, contents and double page spread together.

I had fun using Photoshop to make my magazine and am glad I learnt the new skills that I did. These will definately be a major help for when I use it again.

Photographs

I have started taking my photos, I have used a digital camera at first but then moved on to the DLSR camera. I think you can really tell which ones are which. 
They will still need to be edited and obviuosly not all of them will be used. 
I wanted to take a small variety of different kinds however as they were taken by myself of myself using self timer, the range lacks slightly.

I like my hair in this one and the way I was looking over my shoulder, it could have a story behind it when it comes to using it.

 

This was just experimenting ideas.

DLSR;

I wanted to try a brighter light setting.

I wanted to try it again but on a plain background.

I was just experimenting with sitting down photos, but i prefered the close up shots.

Here i was just experimenting with different things.

I liked the colours and durations in the photo.

 The same with this one, the reflections and colours I liked. 

Before i could use these for my magazine i needed to edit them which i done on Photoshop. It was difficult at first, trying to remeber everything and all the different applications, but i eventually got that hang of it and really enjoyed it. 

I decided in the end to have all my photographs quite bright and turn them all black and white as i felt this looked good and fitted in with the simpleness of indie and was the way i wanted my magazine to look. 

Research

I wanted to look for different looks that i may want to use as a guide for my magazine cover, contents page and double page spread. I wanted find inspirations for make up, costumes and effects. 

I looked for make up ideas on the internet; 

These are all such different, creative and interesting look but all so inspiring.

I also looked for costume ideas;

These costumes again are fairly different but very plain and indie style. These styles are perfect for me magazine.

I also experimented using Photo Booth on the Macs for different effects i could incoporate into my magazine cover, contents and double page spread images;

Publishing Company

The companies that are mos likely to publish my magazine are companies that have an interest in music and entertainment.They would have to be quite popular and able to spread my magazine around the country.

All of these companies are music related, whether its to do with books, copyright, liscencing, services or designs. They are all in England, many situated in London, so they are near enough to be able to work with.
